Construction of New Public Library at Whyalla.

The City of Whyalla invites interested parties to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for Construction Works for a proposed new Public Library in Whyalla.

The Architects and Project Managers for this project are Environarc Design Pty Ltd, and an indicative site plan, floor plan and cross section is provided.

The Library will be built on undeveloped Council property with a frontage to Ekblom Street adjoining both the Westland Shopping Centre and the Mount Laura Homestead Museum.

The building will be of single-storey steel-framed and -clad construction of some 1500 m2 area, and the development will include upgrade of site infrastructure services together with parking and landscaping.

Parties interested in submitting an EOI will be required to satisfy the selection criteria included herein.

Parties who have completed an EOI may then be invited to submit a tender. Council reserves the right to accept or reject any EOI at its absolute discretion.

Emailed submission files must not be any larger than 5MB and it is the responsibility of the Registrant to receive an e-receipt, acknowledging receipt of their EOI documentation by the Lead Architect / Project Manager.

Expressions of Interest must be submitted by 4.00pm on Wednesday 11th November 2009.
