City West Project – Cost Estimation

The City West Project consists of two phases. Phase One involves replacing and raising the Sutherland Street bridges. Phase Two works are associated with the upgrade to City West Station. Phase 1 includes replace of existing rail bridge, abutments, temporary track, structures, and rail systems.Phase 2 includes a new station with underpass, structures, retaining walls, grade separated Principal Shared path and rail systems. The PTA has recently finalised the concept design for this project and is now seeking cost estimation services for the next 12 months. Scope: Provide estimating, checking and peer review services and cost advice for further development of Business Case and PDP options, which may include associated works such as rail systems and civil infrastructure based on sketches, feasibility and concept designs;Estimates will range from Class 5 to Class 3 in accordance with the Australian Government Cost Estimation Guidance and the PTA Project Cost Estimating Guideline (depending on level of design and project stage);Participate in Value Management Workshops with PTA members and Project Team Consultants;Quantify project risks and opportunities; andOrganise and prepare presentation materials and aides when required.
