Description
The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for the establishment of a Non Urgent Patient Transport service agreement to be utilised by MNHHS. This service is for the provision of transportation services for MNHHS patients who have been assessed by MNHHS clinical staff as not requiring any clinical assistance whilst in transit to their destination. Where practicable and clinically appropriate, a single vehicle can transport multiple patients and perform multiple pick-ups and drop-offs. It will be administered from two Transit Hubs, the Northern Hub located at Redcliffe Hospital and the Southern Hub located at the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital (RBWH) will provide support to all MNHHS facilities. Vehicles will be operated out of five MNHHS facilities, Caboolture Hospital, Redcliffe Hospital, The Prince Charles Hospital, North Lakes Health Precinct and RBWH.
MNHHS objective for establishing this agreement is to provide a transport service to MNHHS patients who are required to attend a MNHHS facility or have been medically discharged from a MNHHS facility but are unable to access private or public transportation.
It does not include transportation of a patient who requires clinical care.
