Earthing and Bonding Project Engineer - Nowergup Depot Railcar Modification Shed (NDRMS)

The Nowergup Depot Railcar Modification Shed (NDRMS) Project of the PTA is seeking to engage an Earthing and Bonding Project Engineer to review design and construction documents and provide technical input during the design, construction, Entry into Service and Handover stages of the project. The PTA has identified a need for additional maintenance/modification facilities to be implemented across its network in support of rolling stock delivery deferrals, medium term fleet growth and short/medium term rolling stock modification programs. The PTA plans to construct a new railcar modification shed at Nowergup Depot. The immediate priority for a modification shed is to support the High Capacity Signalling (HCS) and Radio Systems Replacement (RSR) projects which will require a dedicated facility to fit equipment to B series and C series rolling stock from 2026 to 2030. Upon completion of the HCS and RSR modification programs, the facility will be used to support future maintenance and modifications to the existing rolling stock fleets. The PTA has appointed a Design and Construct (D&C) Contractor to undertake detailed design and construction of the modification shed. The Earthing and Bonding Project Engineer will review design and construction documentation prepared by the D&C Contractor and provide support during design, construction, Entry into Service (EIS), commissioning and handover. The project is currently at 85% Design Stage.
