Karumba Beacon 15 Replacement - 2015

The Queensland Government is tenders from suitably qualified companies to undertake the navigation beacon replacement works to Karumba Beacon No. 15.

The major items included in the Works are as follows:

1. Supply and fabricate 610 mm diameter x 12.7 mm thick mild steel pile.
2. Transport pile and beacon components to work site.
3. Remove and dispose of the existing pile which consists of the existing work platform, lamp stand, navigation light, ladder sections and possibly some ladder clamps.
4. Handle, pitch and drive 610 mm diameter pile.
5. Supply, fabricate and galvanize pile cap.
6. Cut pile at correct height and install weld-on pile cap.
7. Supply and install Denso Steelcoat 100 protection system or approved equivalent to pile cap and pile cap splice weld.
8. Supply and install Denso Seashield 2000FD pile protection system or approved equivalent.
9. Supply, fabricate and install 1400 mm diameter work platform complete with platform mounted top mark stand, special top mark and lamp stand.
10. Supply, fabricate and install galvanized steel ladder, complete with clamps to the orientation on the beacon as shown on the Drawings.
11. Supply, fabricate, and install and kickplate mounted beacon identification sign with designation ‘15’.
12. Supply all fasteners including aluminium bolts, u-bolts, nuts and washers; Grade 316 stainless bolts, nuts and washers; galvanized mild steel bolts, nuts and washers; and all bolt insulation products.
13. Supply a registered Surveyor to set out replacement beacon position and pile cut-off height.

This contract does not include:

1. The supply and installation of the navigation light.
