Koumala Water Supply Upgrades - Water Treatment Plant

Mackay Regional Council is seeking offers from suitably experienced suppliers for both Part #A and Part
#B. Supplies to provide a functional water treatment plant for the township of Koumala.

Part #A - Civil and Structural Works – Supply, construction and installation of civil infrastructure,
reinforced concrete foundations and slabs, underground interconnecting pipework, softened water
storage tank, wastewater storage tank, reinforced concrete driveways and footpaths, electrical conduits
and pits, consumer power pole and antenna mast including footings and design, supply, construction and
installation of wastewater storage tank roof structure and brine unloading and salt bag storage area roof
structure required for a new packaged WTP.

Part #B - Water Softening Plant - Design, supply, construction and installation of a complete new
packaged WTP including the integration of the treatment process hydraulically into the existing Koumala
Water Supply System, electrical cabling and connection works, electrical switchboard, all process
pipework, connections to the battery limits, external lighting, brine batching and storage tanks,
mechanical equipment and above ground structures for the package plant and chlorine gas dosing
system and fencing including gates and concrete mowing strip.

The prospective Supplier must price both Parts individually based on each Scope of Supply
described however Council reserves the right to award the Supply in whole or part providing
a saving can be demonstrated.
