Description
The Department for Energy and Mining (DEM), Energy Programs, Remote Area Energy Supply (RAES) scheme is seeking a full project management solution for all required goods and services to successfully introduce renewable energy integration and associated partial and/or full power station upgrades to four remote power stations on the RAES scheme.
The purpose of this procurement is to reduce diesel consumption, annual greenhouse gases, diesel generator maintenance and increase station efficiency with the introduction of value for money, safe and reliable renewable energy, and partial and/or full power station upgrades.
RAES objectives are to introduce:
- A new power station with 75% renewable energy penetration including supporting Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) near the Oodnadatta Power Station.
- Partial power station upgrade and 50% renewable penetration including supporting BESS near the Pipalyatjara Power Station.
- Partial power station upgrade and 50% renewable penetration including supporting BESS near the Yalata Power Station.
- Partial power station upgrade and 20% renewable penetration by Photovoltaic panels only at the Oak Valley Power Station with no supporting BESS.
