Description

On behalf of the State Government, the Department for Infrastructure and Transport is responsible for delivering the final stage of the multi-billion-dollar North-South Corridor (NSC). A 10.5-kilometre stretch of roadway between the River Torrens and Darlington. Once completed, the project will deliver a 78-kilometre non-stop motorway connecting the northern and southern suburbs and provide a vital strategic link for motorist and the freight transport industry.

Part of the enabling works, the NSC T2D Project will require the demolition of properties to facilitate early works including service relocations, establishment of the southern lay down area and installation of power supply (electrical substation etc.) for the tunnel boring machines.

Demolished properties and levelled sites will require installation of permanent fencing to stop unauthorised personnel entering the sites ensuring safety for the community and security for the construction site. In addition, new fencing will also be used for marketing purposes with hoarding attached to it to promote the River Torrens to Darlington Project.
