Management Services for Princes Wharf Shed Number One (PW1)

Princes Wharf Shed Number One (PW1) is Tasmania’s pre-eminent multi-purpose venue catering for a wide range of event options, including community events, corporate conferences, expos, special events and private functions.

The Tasmanian Government is seeking proposals from interested parties that detail how they can activate PW1 in a way that delivers on the following objectives:

1. A venue that supports the local events and conference sector;
2. A venue that supports a range of existing and new community events;
3. A venue managed under a financially sustainable operating model;
4. A venue management team who are client-focussed and who support and work in partnership with the local events and conference sector; and
5. A venue management team who ensures PW1 remains a premium quality events and conference venue.

The Government is open to considering a long-term management arrangement or lease arrangement.
