Relocation of Histology Laboratory – Mt Pleasant Laboratories

The relocation of the existing Histology Laboratory to a new special purpose Laboratory fitout. The works involve the construction of a new Laboratory, within an existing basement area of the Animal Health Laboratory Wing of the Mt Pleasant Laboratory complex. The fitout involves the installation of a new dumb waiter lift and extensive mechanical, electrical and communication services. Also required to complete the works are the supply and installation of specialised benches and joinery. The fitout involves new plasterboard ceilings and wall linings, new windows and doors, partitions, floor coverings, painting and metalwork. A new Plant Room also forms part of the project, and is to be constructed adjacent to the new Histology Laboratory within existing foundation space. The existing Histology Laboratory currently located on the Ground Floor of the complex will be stripped of all current fitout, and converted to new offices and a meeting room as part of these works.
