Description
Cleland Wildlife Park is one of South Australia’s leading tourism attractions and a key commercial site for DEWNR. The 35 hectare park is located within Cleland Conservation Park, approximately 30 minutes drive from Adelaide’s CBD and close to the Mount Lofty Summit and the Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens. Approximately 100,000 people visit Cleland Wildlife Park each year, primarily to view over 130 species of native animals including koalas, free roaming kangaroos, emus and wallabies, as well as various bird, mammal and reptile species.
A supplier is required to provide Veterinary services for Cleland Wildlife Park. This will involve all aspects of veterinary care, including examinations, treatments, surgery, gaseous anaesthesia, radiography, ultrasonography, writing medical records, post mortems and pathology, and on call advice and assistance when required.
These services are required on a weekly basis for a period of 104 weeks (two years) with the option to extend for a further two additional one-year periods. Based on the experience of previous years, the services required are expected to cost between $30,000 and $40,000 (GST inclusive) per year.
