Description

The Royal Hobart Hospital is the tertiary referral centre for Obstetrics, Paediatrics and Gynaecology in Tasmania. 'State of the art' ultrasound equipment is required to complement the service provision expected of this unit. The unit required will be a fully digital, mobile, self-contained ultrasound machine. The unit must be capable of operating within all areas of the hospital environment including the operating theatre. The unit must be compliant with all hospital systems, including: electrical, hard copy storage, hard copy printing and biomedical standards. The unit should feature leading edge technology for all the clinical areas in which it will be utilised. The unit must be capable of providing a full range of ultrasound examinations to both adult and paediatric patients. The range of examinations includes: abdominal, obstetrics, cranial, gynaecological, vascular, musculo skeletal, endocavity (vaginal/rectal), breast, intraoperative and small parts.
