DESCRIPTION
The South Australian Government has announced $31.1 million in funding towards the revitalisation of the Granite Island Causeway.

On behalf of the State Government, the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) is responsible for delivering the project. DPTI is intending to procure the works under an Early Contractor Involvement framework, which on completion, will transition into a Design and Construct contract, for the delivery phase.

To select a suitably experienced and qualified Consortium to work with DPTI to deliver the Project, DPTI will be conducting a three-stage procurement process as follows:

• Stage 1: Registration of Interest (ROI) phase;
• Stage 2: Request for Proposal (RFP) phase; and
• Stage 3: Early Contractor Involvement (ECI): Design and Construct (D&C) development phase.

This SA Tenders Notice is for Stage 1 (ROI) only.

REGISTRATION OF INTEREST
DPTI is conducting an ROI process (stage 1), to register interested parties in the competitive procurement process for the Granite Island Causeway Project. Participation in the ROI process is mandatory for all companies intending to bid for this contract.

The ROI allows approved registered companies to access project information ahead of the RFP phase.

Companies must respond to the ROI attached with this Notice and execute the Deed of Confidentiality to receive further project information. Instructions on how to respond are provided in the ROI document.

DPTI requests that the Deed of Confidentiality provided as part of the ROI is returned as soon as possible to Mr Tim Wheaton via email ([email hidden]). On receipt of this document and subject to conformance against the mandatory prequalification requirements, DPTI will provide companies with further project information.

MANDATORY PREQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Companies must be prequalified in the following DPTI prequalification categories:

Contractor

• Financial level: F25;
• Roadworks level: R2*;
• Bridgeworks level: B3
  *Note: there is minor elements of roadworks on the approaches each side of the project. Registrants will be required to have suitable capability to undertake these works.

Designer

• DPTI Professional and Technical Services Prequalification Panel, Contract No. 17C811

For companies who do not meet the minimum prequalification categories, sub-contractor opportunities will be advertised via the Industry Capability Network website.
