Contract to Provide Integrated Services (IS) for the Metro Area Express (MAX) Light Rail Project

The IS Team (made up of Transport Portfolio and Service Provider personnel) will provide the following services for the IS Stage 1:
(a) The input required for and to assist in the preparation of a successful Business Case(s), due for presentation to the Government by 1st Quarter 2014, that clearly identifies cost-effective and sustainable transport solution(s);
(b) Managing the community and stakeholder engagement process;
(c) Managing the environmental approvals process (includes noise/vibration);
(d) Managing heritage approvals process;
(e) Land use planning;
(f) System design for Light Rail option;
(g) Concept design and assessment of alternatives at specific locations along the route;
(h) Innovation;
(i) Development of a sustainability strategy for input into both the Business Case and contractor procurement documentation;
(j) Traffic network, road and intersection modelling and other studies;
(k) Services / utilities 3D Modelling and impacts;
(l) Managing survey / mapping and any other data collection;
(m) Managing any investigations that are required (e.g. geotechnical);
(n) Managing ministerial responses and media queries;
(o) Identification of and managing any early works that are required (e.g. site works);
(p) Progress and project reporting;
(q) Financial management of the IS Team within approved budgets; and
(r) Identification and engagement of any specialist providers that may be required.
