Consultancy Services for the Expansion of Drug Education and Support Services Workers in Youth Accommodation and Support Services
Details
Description
The Mental Health Commission (MHC) requires a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to lead a consultation process to inform the implementation of one of the State Government’s election commitments to expand the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Education and Support Program (the Program) across the Youth Accommodation and Support Services (YASS) in Western Australia (WA). The YASS provide crisis and transitional accommodation for young people aged 15 to 25 years of age who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness.
A number of YASS providers currently employ AOD workers to deliver the Program and the MHC is seeking to develop a Model of Service (MoS) to support consistency in the delivery of the Program before it is expanded across the remaining YASS.
Specifically, the Contractor will be required to plan and undertake a consultation process with relevant stakeholders, including the YASS providers, other government and non-government service providers, and young people with lived experience in the WA community. This consultation process will inform the MoS for the Program, the delivery of the Program, and any training requirements that may be needed to support its delivery across the state.
