North West Agricultural Workforce Plan

The Department, via Skills Tasmania, is undertaking a project known as the “North West Agricultural Workforce Plan initiative” and requires a suitably qualified and experienced Supplier to assist with this Project, specifically to work in collaboration with the Department to develop and deliver a Workforce Plan for the agricultural sector across the North West Region of Tasmania.

The objectives and target outcomes of the Project are to:

a) inform current and future job seekers on the employment and career opportunities in the agricultural sector;

b) identify the skill and knowledge requirements of those opportunities; and

c) inform industry, governments, education and training providers on what actions need to be taken, and by who, to support the growth of high skilled and high valued agriculture workforce in the North-West region.
