Description
GW requires the service provider to provide a schedule of rates to complete the following:
- A 7 day a week 365 day a year service requirement;
- Volume required will vary from approximately 25,000 to 100,000 Litres per day subject to seasonal and operational demands by the town. Carting requirements will be arranged one day in advance to meet demand;
- Hygiene is extremely important and the vehicles used must be dedicated to potable drinking water only. Refer to “Guidelines for drinking (potable) water transport in Victoria” to minimise contamination and recontamination and to demonstrate public health compliance;
- Auditing against the “Guidelines for drinking (potable) water transport in Victoria” is a mandatory requirement for the duration of this contract.
- The successful contractor must be registered for food handling with local council;
- Vehicles used must be roadworthy, registered and fit for purpose and dedicated for the use of crating / transporting potable drinking water;
- The carting vehicle must be fitted with backflow prevention;
- Gippsland Water will induct the contractor; and
- Gippsland Water will undertake regular audits to ensure compliance with the “Guidelines for drinking (potable) water transport in Victoria” and the requirement of AS/NZS 3500.1:2015 (Appendix G & Figure G1).
