PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project is to reconstruct and seal the shoulders of Wilmington to Ucolta Road, between Peterborough and the Barrier Highway to improve safety and increase level of service for road users. Wilmington to Ucolta Road is the preferred route for travellers between Perth (WA) and Sydney (NSW). This route is an essential transport corridor for communities, tourism and general freight. This project includes shoulder reconstruction, drainage improvements and sealing of approximately 13 kilometres of Wilmington to Ucolta Road, between Peterborough and the Barrier Highway. These works will increase compliance to Performance-Based Standards for Level 3A Vehicles (36.5m Road Trains) and provide a reliable safety road network, provide a smoother ride, and improve transport efficiency, whilst supporting local economies and employment.
PREQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Companies must be prequalified with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport in the following prequalification categories:
- Roadworks level: (minimum) R1
- Financial level: (minimum) F5
These prequalifcation requirements are in line with Category 1 of the PSACB.
