Description

The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for a provider to conduct social research with past and current participants in a selection of sugarcane farming practice change projects to assess ‘legacy’, primarily focusing on the longevity of change. The projects are RP161 NMP project in the Burdekin, RP201 Sandy Creek (Plane Catchment) funded under the QRWQP and Reef Trust Repeated Tenders in the Burdekin and Wet Tropics regions.

The research will primarily seek to answer the question: How much of the practice change achieved during projects endures once engagement ends and what are the associated success or limiting factors?

The objective is to determine whether projects are achieving enduring practice change as evidenced by:

  • confirmation that the practice continues post project involvement and/or
  • the research signals that key determinants (e.g., confidence and intention to undertake the practice and other relevant signals) are present.
