University Biosafety Committee (UBC) Compliance & Information Systems Project

Griffith University has developed this Invitation to Offer to identify potential suppliers of an information system that will provide enhanced organisation control of biosafety and related activities to improve regulatory and safety compliance

The objective of the project is to implement a laboratory compliance system that:

• Simplifies for researchers, the process of applying for and gaining approval to conduct biosafety related research projects;
• Streamlines, for reviewers the process of assessing and approving biosafety projects;
• Maintains a register of licence approvals;
• Ensure appropriate training of those permitted to enter biosafety facilities;
• Records the certification of facilities; and
• Enables the confirmation of equipment certification and maintenance.
