Description
Contractors are invited to tender for the maintenance of the Tree Top Walk, an elevated, steel guyed structure in the Valley of the Giants, Denmark, WA and in addition ad hoc maintenance at National Park sites in the Warren Region.
Maintenance will include but not be limited to items recommended by a consulting engineer following bi-annual inspections. This will included but not be limited to the following
- tensioning of guy wires, to readings from beam deflection gauge
- welding on structure of the walk to appropriate code standards
- tensioning and / or replacement of structural fixings
- corrosion treatment and prevention
- Non destructive testing of welds, metal thickness, etc
- Cleaning areas not reachable by ground staff
- Digging to expose and treat pylon bases and supports
