Sector Strengthening for ACCO ECEC Providers - DOE03843-22

The supplier/s procured to provide the services will perform a range of functions and activities that will be outlined in a workplan, including: 1. provide a collective voice on critical issues to ACCO ECEC providers; 2. grow the number of ACCO ECEC providers and support them, including via culturally competent and safe in-person arrangements and be accessible to people with disability and/or developmental needs; 3. share information and knowledge in ways that are culturally competent and safe, flexible, represent value for money and time sensitive (e.g. webinars can be live and also recorded and/or converted into a podcast for later distribution to services); 4. provide advice and support, including to drive improvements in service providers’ programming and practice, to support ACCO providers to optimise learning, developmental and connection to culture outcomes for children and support for families; 5. strengthen service provider’s governance arrangements, including the provision of support (in-person where possible) in understanding and meeting compliance and reporting requirements; 6. strengthen workforce capability and capacity in-person where possible, via workforce planning and development, including by providing advice/support on recruitment, training, capacity development and retention, and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees delivering services; 7. enhance service design, delivery and sustainability, including via identifying service delivery challenges and offering solutions, and ensuring accessibility to clients with disability and/or developmental need; 8. explore and advocate for best funding approaches to build the capacity and support the sustainability of ACCO ECEC providers; and 9. identify in partnership with DOE and in response to feedback from ACCO ECEC providers and the DOE Aboriginal Advisory Group, other in-person and online services to support the ACCO ECEC sector and individual providers.
