Queensland Urban Utilities
Southern Treatment Plants Capital Works Program
Details
Description
Queensland Urban Utilities provides essential services that are affordable, reliable, resilient and sustainable for future generations. What we do underpins South East Queensland’s growth, public health and the protection of the environment.
QUU is advancing its Program Management Approach (PMA) initiative which involves transitioning from an asset centric organisation to a customer centric organisation. A key strategy in achieving this transition is to set in place enhanced procurement strategies based upon longer term engagements in line with QUU’s investment periods, thereby moving beyond the current annual delivery cycle.
QUU has a program of treatment plant upgrades to be undertaken over the next five years. In planning for these upgrades QUU has examined a range of procurement strategies and delivery options. This work identified that a Regional Based Treatment Delivery Strategy using an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) procurement framework would most likely meet QUU’s objectives. The two regions in the scheme include:
- The Northern Treatment Plants (NTP) Program – major coastal treatment plants and select projects within the bubble licence; and
- The Southern Treatment Plants (STP) Program – treatment plants from Ipswich, Somerset, Lockyer Valley, and the Scenic Rim.
We are now inviting interested parties to respond to an Invitation to Offer. The anticipated scope of works for the STP will include multi-disciplinary engineering design and construction of brownfield and greenfield wastewater treatment plant upgrades and renewals.
