Grounds Maintenance Services for Townsville Sport and Recreation Precinct

Offers are invited by the Department of Housing and Public Works (Sport and Recreation) for the provision of specialist grounds maintenance services at the Townsville Sport and Recreation Precinct (TSRP).

The TSRP is a multipurpose, outdoor sport and recreation venue which includes the Townsville Sports House (TSH) and the Townsville Sports Reserve (TSR). The site is situated approximately 2km from the CBD on Warburton Street, North Ward.

The successful supplier will be required to:

• Provide specialist field maintenance services required to prepare the sporting fields for different sports including Rugby League/Union, Athletics, Football and Touch Football;
• Maintain the sporting fields, surrounds and lawns to the standard expected of state and national level venues; and
• Carry out ground distribution of pesticides and herbicides.

The Customer has issued this Invitation to Offer with the objective of establishing a Contract with the Successful Supplier for an initial term of one (1) year with option to extend for a further 2 x 1 years. Should all extension options be utilised the total term of the contract will be three (3) years, subject to satisfactory performances reviews.
