Description
The Department of Home Affairs (the Department) provides protection claims assistance to persons that are transferred to a Regional Processing Country (Transferees) and seek Refugee Status Determination pursuant to the 1951 Convention and Protocol relating to the status of Refugees. These services ensure that transferees understand the definition of a refugee, its relevance to the Refugee Status Determination process of the Regional Processing Country and to support their application for determination. These services:
a) Assist transferees to make their protection claim
b) Aid the preparation of applications for merits review where a transferee received a negative Refugee Status Determination and
c) Support transferees in judicial review and appeals processes.
The Department of Home Affairs invites interested parties to submit Tenders in accordance with this RFT for the goods and/or services described in the Statement of Requirement in Attachment A.
