Provision of Driver Training Services for the Army Logistic Training Centre

The Australian Defence Force (ADF) has a capability requirement for Army members to attain driving qualifications to Light Rigid (LR), Medium Rigid (MR) and Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicles.

This project seeks to engage the services of a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for delivery of Training from 05 August 2013 to 04 August 2016.The selected Service Provider will deliver various Driver Training modules to supplement the Military Instructor Effort provided by Army School of Transport (AST) at the primary location of Puckapunyal Military Area (PMA), Victoria.

A contracted RTO will provide value for money to the Commonwealth through the cost effective delivery of the driver training.The service provision, in supplementing Military Instructor effort to meet the Directed Training Requirement (DTR), will be achieved through a Standing Offer Arrangement.

The training delivery specified in this Statement of Services (SOS) is centred on Units of Competency (UOC) derived from military capability requirements.

It is therefore a requirement that the provider is an RTO with Light, Medium and Heavy Rigid qualifications within the Scope of Registration.

The location and duration of training will influence the affordability to the Commonwealth. Therefore it is a requirement that the provider is able to deliver the required competencies or qualifications at the primary location of Puckapunyal Military Area (PMA) in Victoria and in other ADF locations as defined by the Commonwealth.
