Exercise Physiology Advisor

An open tender, RFT process will be conducted to procure an Exercise Physiology Advisor.

Advisory Services required may include but are not limited to:

·providing advice in relation to new treatment programs/protocols or technologies being considered by DVA for individual care of entitled persons or policy development and/or changes that may lead to service quality and efficiency improvements;

·providing advice relating to treatment proposed by providers under DVA prior approval arrangements, assessment of servicing patterns of DVA contracted providers and provider advice on health care for entitled persons;

Other services may also include:

·Provide advice in relation to rehabilitation programs under the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986 (VEA), the Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRCA), and the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 (MRCA);

·supporting the development and the delivery of DVA services including communication in regard to available services, education packages, discussions and workshops for staff and/or entitled persons (may include intra/inter state travel);

·attending health related forums, to assist DVA in maintaining its excellent relationship with the health provider community (may include intra/inter state travel);

·facilitate the development of strategic relationships with key peak health bodies, provider groups and government agencies;

·when required, attend meetings, including committee meetings, and provide advice on matters under discussion (may include intra/inter state travel); and

·prepare various reports as required by DVA.
