Western Courts Sports Lighting Upgrade (Stage 2)

Overview
The Melbourne and Olympic Parks Trust (M&OP) are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor for the electrical services for a sports lighting upgrade to the Western Courts 5, 7, 8, 11, 14 and 15. The appointment is as the main contractor and will need to allow for all tasks required to complete the upgrades.

M&OP have purchased Philips ArenaVision LED gen3.5 luminaires required for the works. M&OP are now seeking an experienced electrical contractor to remove the existing sports lighting luminaires and associated wiring and controls and replace with a new system comprising of the Philips LED sports lights, complete with new controls.

The Western Court Lighting Upgrade has been divided into two stages to ensure a smooth and efficient process. The first stage, which took place in the last quarter of 2022 involved the execution of internal cabling, lighting installation, testing, and commissioning for courts 10, 12, and 13. Currently, M&OP is inviting tenders for the second stage of the project. This phase will encompass the sports lighting upgrade for courts 5, 7, 8, 11, 14, and 15 as well as further trenching and control works for courts 10, 12 & 13.

These works are to be completed by late November 2023.
