ENTERPRISE CENTRE FUNDING 2007-2010

The Department of Economic Development is inviting submissions from suitably experienced organisations to deliver high quality business advisory services to the start-up and micro business sector of the Tasmanian business community under a three year funding agreement. To achieve the objectives of the program, successful organisations (“enterprise centres”) will be required to: provide information, assistance and referral services to micro businesses and those who wish to go into business in the local community, including referrals to and from the department assist in the development of business management skills in the local business community establish networks and connections between businesses in the community and with the department assist in local economic development projects that will lead to the creation of local jobs and growth of the local economy encourage the development of an entrepreneurial and innovative culture. Funding for successful applicants will be provided by way of a negotiated grant based on a written submission. Applicants will need to demonstrate access to other sources of funding to support the full delivery of the program.
