The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a Roof Replacement at Urangan SHS, located at 120 Robert St, Hervey Bay QLD 4655, as part of the Repair & Replacement (R&R) program.
The scope of works includes removal of existing roof and roof mounted services on the Performing Arts Block and construction of a new roof including all associated flashings, gutters, downpipes, new fibre cement sheeting and ridge capping. The position of the building is in the centre of the school with limited site access and working space. All works are to be completed by April 2025.
Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1,000,000.00
QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
