Resource Recovery Services and Tip Shop Operations at the Lakes Ck Rd Waste Management Facility

Rockhampton Regional Council invites written offiers for Tender 14362 for the Resource Recovery Services and Tip Shop Operations at the Lakes Creek Road Waste Management Facility.

Before making a decision on the offers, Council may invite all persons who have submitted an offer to modify their offer to take account of a change in the specification.

The Services to be provided under this Contract will assist Council in achieving these goals through the provision of Resource Recovery Services and Operation of “The Ibis” Tip Shop. The Services are to be undertaken at the Lakes Creek Road Waste Management Facility and will focus on the following intentions:

1. Maximising the recovery of resalable items and materials entering the facility;
2. Delivering a high quality customer service experience that meets Council’s aspiration to create a pre-eminent service delivery and retail destination;
3. Facilitating and participating in the delivery of innovative upcycling, repair and reuse solutions that seek to maximise the economic and social value of the resources being recovered;
4. Facilitating and participating in the delivery of educational programs to a broad community demographic, promoting the aims and objectives of the RRC Waste Strategy 2020-2030; and
5. Providing high quality employment and training opportunities that deliver long term social and economic value to our community.
