Waste Disposal Services for the Mid West Region

This Request will establish a new Group Buying Arrangement (GBA) for waste disposal services. The new contract framework to be established will provide a procurement facility for waste management services that is required by many government agencies.

This contract will cover Total Waste Management comprising the following Services;

1. • Waste bins and waste removal;
   • Recycling (co-mingled waste, and including waste paper and cardboard, plastics, aluminium, steel and other metals, milk and juice cartons, glass, food waste, green waste, building and construction waste, batteries, fluorescent tubes and polystyrene); and
   • Controlled and radioactive waste removal (including radioactive waste, cytotoxic waste, clinical waste, pharmaceuticals, pathology waste.

Unless determined otherwise by the Contract Authority, the GBA will be non-mandatory for the Geraldton Area. "Pick and Buy" procurement will be the primary means for purchasing services.

All prospective Respondents are encouraged to submit an Offer if they wish to provide general waste disposal services to the WA Government.

The Term of the Head Agreement will be one year. The Contract Authority will have four extension options of one year each to extend the Term to a maximum of 5 years.

One or more suppliers may be selected A combination of demand, market capacity and value for money assessments will determine the actual number of contractors appointed.
