Provision of Independent Chair of the Market Advisory Committee, Gas Advisory Board and Pilbara Advisory Committee and Special Advisor for Stage Two of the Energy Transformation Strategy

Energy Policy WA is seeking the services of an experienced professional(s) to fill the role of independent Chair(s) of the following:

• Category 1

Market Advisory Committee (MAC)

• Category 2

Gas Advisory Board (GAB)

• Category 3

Pilbara Advisory Committee (PAC)

Energy Policy WA is also seeking the services of an experienced professional to fill the role of Special Advisor to the Coordinator of Energy on the delivery of Stage Two of the following:

• Category 4

Energy Transformation Strategy (ETS)

Respondents may submit an Offer for one (1), or more or all categories.

The Customer reserves the right to award the Contract to one or more Respondents.

The responsibilities of the independent Chairs include managing the activities of the MAC/GAB/PAC to facilitate delivery of their work, developing and approving the forward work program and facilitating discussions between members of the MAC, GAB and PAC, reading and approving agendas and papers and complying with other requirements set out in the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) Rules, Gas Services Information (GSI) Rules and Pilbara Networks (Pilbara) Rules and the relevant constitutions. The independent Chairs must also inform the Coordinator of Energy of any actual or perceived conflicts of interest that may affect their ability to perform their functions.

The role of the Special Advisor is strongly linked with the role of the MAC independent Chair as both of these roles will provide advice to the Coordinator of Energy on the development of the market and associated regulatory frameworks in the context of the ongoing energy transformation.
