Provision for Field Investigations and Utilities Engineer - MEL

The Morley-Ellenbrook Line Project (MEL Project) Delivery Team requires the consultancy services of a suitably qualified and experienced Field Investigations and Utilities Engineer (Subject Matter Expert (SME)) to provide expert advice and to act as the PTA representative in the day-to-day management and coordination of the technical and engineering aspects of the Geotechnical Engineering Discipline and Third Party Utility relocation/protection works.

Knowledge and experience of engineering behavior of soil, rock and groundwater, with related design, site investigations and construction experience, including:

• Ground investigations—field and laboratory geotechnical, geophysical, hydro geological, infiltration, chemical, environmental and contractibility investigations;
• Foundations—shallow and deep foundation design;
• Gravity and embedded retaining wall design;
• Slope stability and design of slope stabilisation measures;
• Ground improvement design and specification;
• Groundwater management and dewatering;
• Ground movement assessment;
• Geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring;
• Preparation of detailed designs and construction specifications;
• Knowledge of construction sequencing;
• Geotechnical related temporary works; and
• Construction supervision and associated geotechnical support.
