Description

The Department of Tourism, Arts and the Environment invites fee and service proposals from appropriately qualified firms for the provision of Geotechnical and Hazardous Materials Investigation Services required for the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery Redevelopment at Hobart. The consultant is required to undertake a site investigation which will incorporate a desktop study to establish site history, existing information and statutory requirements and set the methodology for the site investiagtion (intrusive) works. The areas of the site investigation include geotechnical, hazardous materials and contiminated land. The site investitation wil involve the collection of samples, analysis and reporting. Key deliverable from the consultant's study will be a comprehensive record of the site findings in all areas of the study and a summary report documenting the findings and providing recommendations for use in the forthcoming design and masterplan process.
