Reinstatement of Gladstone Beacon T5

The Contract shall include the supply of all plant, equipment, labour and material necessary for the execution of the whole of the Works required for reinstatement of Gladstone Beacon T5, all in accordance with this Specification, Particular and General Conditions of Contract and the Drawings.

The major items included in the Works are as follows:
1. Remove and retain existing 1400mm diameter aluminium work platform, lamp stand, lamp, top ladder section and platform mounted daymark frame
2. Remove and dispose of middle ladder segment, lower ladder segment and ladder clamps.
3. Full extraction and disposal of bent HP3 Pile.
4. Collect Principal supplied pile segments from Transport and Main Roads Compound
5. Fabricate 24m long 610mm diameter x 12.7 thick mild steel pile.
6. Transport pile to work site, handle, pitch and drive pile.
7. Supply, fabricate and galvanise pile cap.
8. Cut pile at correct height and supply and install weld-on pile cap.
9. Supply and install corrosion protection system to pile cap and welded pile cap splice with Denso Steelcoat 100 protection system or approved equivalent. 10. Install retained 1400mm diameter aluminium work platform, lamp stand, lamp, top ladder section and mounted daymark frame.
11. Supply, fabricate and install starboard lateral daymark
12. Supply fabricate and install galvanised steel ladder middle section, galvanised steel ladder bottom section, complete with clamps to the orientation on the beacon as
shown on the drawings.
13. Supply and install Denso Seashield 2000FD corrosion protection system (or approved equivalent) to pile and pile cap as shown on the drawings.
