Little Barbers offtake is to be upgraded to provide for improve environmental flows and to prevent movement of black water events, should they occur in floods. Merribit and Bookit structures are to be replaced so that higher environmental flows will not cause undue damage and or failure to key assets. Merribit regulator is proposed to be transferred to Water NSW to future support the asset for both irrigation and environmental benefits. The Thule Lake regulator will also be replaced so that higher environmental flows will not cause undue damage.
