The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a Tuckshop Refurbishment at Chapel Hill SS, located at 20 Ironbark Rd, Chapel Hill QLD 4069, as part of the Playground and Tuckshop Grant (PTG) program.

Refurbishment of existing Tuckshop includes the design, construct, commission and certify of a freezer room, new flooring, amendments to existing plus new joinery, new grease trap and hydraulic infrastructure, new ceiling, air conditioning, dry fire protection, lighting, fittings, equipment, wall infill and windows with screen updates to achieve compliance with Food Regulations, Australian Standards and other relevant Authorities. Works include decant of existing FF&E and recant at Project Completion.

The position of the building is at the front of the school with site access and working space. All works are to be commence in Easter School Holidays with an aim to complete all noisy works during this period.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:

• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works

• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $1m

• Have certified 3rd Party Quality Assurance as per duration of works

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance

It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
