High Rise Static Shelving
Details
Description
The Queanbeyan Archives and Mail Centre is the central records storage facility for the ACT/Southern NSW Defence region. This facility currently contains a quantity of high rise static, double sided shelving rows which are fixed to the concrete floor as well as anchored at the top level. Double sided bays are braced with metal straps to provide stability and rigidity to the storage medium. At the base of all sides of the high rise rows are floor rails which assist the movement of mobile "picking" machines and provide protection against damage to shelving.
A high rise static shelving row is configured of 34 bays (back to back shelving) with 17 shelving storage levels (approximately 5250mm in height). Two walk through sections are provided equivalent to 8 shelves high with a raised checker plate step or platform to the depth of the row for access provisions. The working aisle width between rows should be no less than 900 mm. A safety bar is also provided on one end of every double sided bay.
The Defence Support Group is seeking tenders for the supply and installation of additional rows of high rise static shelving to match existing.
A price for the supply and installation of sixteen (16) rows of high rise double sided static shelving is sought.
Further rows may be purchased within the next 12 months, therefore the price per row should be fixed for that period of time.
