Description

Particulars

Nutrition plays a central, but complex role in the ecology of all organisms. The availability and type of nutrients determine which species can survive in a landscape. Nutrition commonly limits animal reproductive output and growth rates via the availability of dietary protein and energy, and sometimes by the detrimental effects of plant secondary metabolites. The Sentinel Program presents an exciting opportunity to test how nutrition affects population dynamics at scale.
