Keppel Sands State School - Block A Refurbishment (With Design Responsibility)

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a Block A (Administration) Refurbishment at Keppel Sands State School , located at 1325 Keppel Sands Rd, Keppel Sands QLD 4702, as part of the Prioritised Nominated Project (PNP) program.

The works involves removal of asbestos, reconfiguration of the internal spaces to provide a more functional administration. New finishes, fittings, air conditioning, walls, joinery and flooring. The position of the building is at the front of the school with easy site access and ample working space. All works are to be completed by the end of March 2023.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:

• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1.0m

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance

It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
