Logistics and Financial Assurance Programs

Since FY 2007-08, Defence has been undertaking an annual targeted Assurance Strategy (AS) for the purpose of gathering evidence to support management assertions over the financially reported inventory balances. The annual program has evolved over the last nine years to incorporate statistical sampling of General Stores Inventory (GSI) and Military Support Items (MSI) quantity records based on sampling methodologies.

The Contractor is required, as part of the proposed contract, to ensure the sampling methodology and sample size used for the 2019 sampling methodologies will provide assurance over MSI and GSI inventory holdings is consistent with previous activities and provides continuity of business processes.
