Description
Aerial imagery is important for the Department of Transport (DoT) and imagery is obtained from multiple sources. The datasets are used intensively by several teams within Maritime and Urban Mobility business units.
Historically, DoT has obtained imagery through Landgate’s State Land Information Capture Program (SLICP). However, in the last several years, DoT has utilised an imagery subscription service for both the Perth metropolitan area and the built-up regional areas of Western Australia. DoT staff access the imagery data as a data streaming service, via a web mapping user interface. The imagery service also provides DoT with access to its historical imagery archive. This is used by DoT staff for comparison purposes (before and after studies).
The Department of Transport is seeking a suitable service provider to provide access to an aerial imagery service and historical archive for Western Australia.
