Description
The Department of Justice (Department), Corrective Services Division is responsible for the good order and government of prisons and juvenile detention centres across the state of Western Australia. The detection and prevention of unauthorised or illegal drugs and contraband entering secure custodial facilities is a priority focus for Corrective Services. The introduction of such items into custodial facilities presents as a risk to the security of those facilities, the safety of staff and those in the Department’s custody and the rehabilitation of prisoners and young people in custody.
The Department requires:
The services of an organisation which the Department can purchase/operating lease Electronic Drug Trace Detection Devices that will be used to detect and prevent the introduction of unauthorised and illegal drugs to secure custodial facilities throughout the state of Western Australia.
