Transport and Main Roads requires a consultant to develop a guideline on the inclusion of cycling in road maintenance projects.
The objectives for engaging a consultant are:
- Document how Main Roads regions have successfully included provision for cycling in their pavement rehabilitation, road reseal and general maintenance programs and projects.
- Develop a guideline for the inclusion of provision for cycling in pavement rehabilitation, road reseal and general maintenance programs and projects.
- Provide decision support materials that will enable RSSM to promote pavement rehabilitation, road reseal and general maintenance programs and projects as opportunities to improve road safety rather than to simply put back what was already there.
