Design, Supply & Installation of IRG Wagon Consist Conversion to Rail Delivery Consist

Tenders are invited for converting an existing Rail Recovery Consist (IRG Wagons) to an improved Rail Delivery only Consist. This includes the removal of existing components, inspection of the wagons, design and construction of the new delivery system.

Addendum No. 1: Please be advised the site visits to Yerrongpilly Loading Station and the current IRG Wagon consist is to be held on Thursday, 28 June 2012. The IRG Wagon consist will be available to be viewed at Chapham yards and not Banyo as previously advised. The exact times and addresses for assembly will be advised later, but are expected to be in the morning with Clapham first. Please advise Cliff phillips at [email hidden] if you intend to come and include your Company and personnel names of whom will be attending. I will require this before 3.00 pm Wednesday, 27 June 2012. I will advise the times hopefully Monday via this website.

Addendum No. 2 - Conditions of Tendering - Annexure A - Clause 2.7: Arrangements have been finalised for the Site Visits for this Thursday. 28 June 2012. Please note the Wagons will be at QR National Depot, 72 Gay Street, Acacia Ridge and not Chaplam as previouly stated at 8.30 am. Then the visit to the QR National Rail Welding Facilities at Chale Street, Yeerongpilly will be held at 11.00 am. Full PPE will be required at both sites consisting of full hi-vis long sleeved shirt, long pants, safety shoes/boots, hat/helmet and safety glasses. There will be some PPE available (Shirts, Glasses, Hats) at the sites if required. Your contact at both sites will be Carson Holzheimer. There will be an opportunity to ask questions at both site in relation to the wagons and the loading facilities. Addendum No. 3 - Tender Closing Date - Clause 3.1: A request has been received and approved to extend the closing date of this Tender which will now close at 2.00 pm Local Queensland Time Monday, 6th August 2012 in this office. All other terms and conditions remain the same.

Addendum No. 4 – Details of Amendments to Specification NPE-801-2012 and Changes to Tender Response Form, Section 7 - Pricing Submission: Please note a revised Pricing Submission Form has been added as 14. It contains additions items in Section 7.1 and 7.4. Please use this revised form when submitting your response. There has also been some amendments made to the Specification. This is no. 13. Please amend your copy of Specification NPE-801-2012 or ask for an updated copy. You will need to download both these documents, 13 and 14. Addendum No. 5 - Information for Tenderers: Please find attached a further document, "15. Microsoft Word - Information for Tenderers.pdf" now available for downloading. It contains some supporting information on Friction Coefficients for transport and pulling of Rails, Speed of Train and Unloading System.

Addendum No. 6 - Lighting: We have had a question regarding the Lighting on the Consist, refer to Clause T5.3 of the Specification. Lighting is only required at the Clamping Station and at the Unloading End of the Consist. Other lighting around the Wagons will be managed with Head Lamps.
