Provision of Brushcutting and Mowing Services to Rail Reserves

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) requires a suitable contractor for the provision of brush cutting and mowing services on the Urban Railway Reserve.

Public Transport Authority’s requirements are for the Contractor to provide suitably trained personnel who will be fully equipped and self-sufficient to carry out brush cutting and mowing services as directed by the Officer on an hourly rate basis. Service requirements have not been explicitly defined and will be on an as required basis.

The extent of the services covers the Railway Reserve between stations on the five passenger railway lines.
These lines are Midland, Armadale/Thornlie, Fremantle, Joondalup and Mandurah, with the Perth Railway Station being the hub of the passenger railway network.

Generally, the Services required under this contract are on land either side of the railway formation which is approximately twenty (20) metres either side of the railway track centre. A chain link security fence punctuated at intervals with access gates defines side limits. The land between “station limits” either side of the track defines the various lengths of the Railway Reserve.
