Description
The Children and Community Services Ministerial Body through the Department for Child Protection (the Department) is seeking responses from suitable Respondents to provide general foster care services for children and young people in the care of the CEO.
Consistent with the Delivering Community Services in Partnership Policy, July 2011, the Department intends to engage with the not-for-profit community sector, including Local Government Authorities, for the provision of this service.
General foster care services provide children and young people 0 to 17 years with accommodation, nurturing and support to meet their indiviual needs, including cultural and spiritual, in the homes of approved and registered foster families. General foster carers have met screening and selection criteria and attained minimum competencies.

The purpose of this Request is to increase this number by a further 21 general foster care placement provided by the community sector. In addition, the Department is seeking to expand the existing Service Provider pool by encouraging other suitable community sector organisations to respond to this Request.
