Australian Government Department of Defence
Defence Census 2019
Details
Description
A contractor is required to carry out a Census in 2019 in consultation with Defence staff, of approximately 100,000 person Defence workforce comprising Australian Defence Force (ADF) permanent and reserve members and Defence Australian Public Service (APS) employees.
Since 1991, the Department of Defence (Defence) has conducted a voluntary Census of its total workforce at four (4) yearly intervals. The Census aims to establish an authoritative and credible demographic base-line profile of Defence personnel and their families, to underpin the development of personnel policies that meet the ongoing and emerging needs of the Defence workforce. The Defence Census gathers a variety of in-depth demographic, financial, educational and the like information from Defence members and their families that is not available from any other Defence or Public sources of information. Defence will conduct its next Census in the first half of 2019.
