Provision of Oracle/Sun (SPARC & Exadata based) Infrastructure, Software and Support Services

The Department requires continued maintenance and support for existing Oracle SUN server hardware and software, as well as the provision to procure additional hardware and/or upgrades (and associated maintenance and support) if required due to the possible future expansion of the Department’s systems. Maintenance and support of these additional hardware and/or upgrades will be co-termed to expire on the Contract Expiry Date. Upgrades include hardware upgrades (for example memory and disk-space), as well as patches and fixes.

The Department also reserves the right to perform a hardware replacement of the Sparc and Exadata based infrastructure during the Contract, including hardware, software and the initial one year maintenance and support services for Oracle SUN Servers which currently house the Oracle PeopleSoft, Oracle Financials and OBI applications. The Department does not guarantee the purchase of any extra hardware, software or maintenance and support services, but requires this option which may be exercised at the sole discretion of the Department over the Term of the Contract.
